PCOSA VEHICLE DONATION PROGRAM

Are you thinking of donating your used or old car, truck, boat or RV to PCOSA?

As a charitable contribution your donation could make a big difference and be eligible for a tax deduction as well.

Donating is easy; the process is simple, quick and convenient. Donate a car, truck, trailer, boat or RV even if they don’t run (some restrictions apply). PCOSA, through the Car Program LLC, will provide free and timely pick-up of your vehicle donation and then supply you with the proper documentation for your tax deductible donation.

FAQ

1. Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. We are classified with the IRS as non-profit charitable organization. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

2. What do I need to donate my vehicle?

We would like the title to the vehicle, but if you do not have it please call us anyways.

3. Can you pick up vehicles in all 50 states?

Yes, we are able to pick up accepted vehicles in the continental U.S. and Hawaii.

4. How will the car be picked up?

We will arrange to have your vehicle towed away by a professionally licensed, bonded and insured towing company.

5. How long will it take to pick up my car?

You will be contacted within three or four business days at the most. If you need your car picked up sooner, please let us know as we may be able to make those arrangements as well.

6. My car hasn’t run in years. Can I still donate it?

Yes, we are able to accept most vehicles running or not.

7. How is the value of my car determined?

The IRS allows you, the taxpayer, to claim a tax deduction of the value of your vehicle up to $500 or if we sell the vehicle for more than $500 we will mail you a postcard with that value for your tax purposes.

DONATE A VEHICLE PROCESS

1. Please complete the online vehicle donation form.


2. Fax the completed form to the numbers listed at the top or email the form to the addresses listed at the top.


3. Donor will receive a phone call by a towing agency to schedule a pickup and also a phone call from the Car Program customer service department for further instructions and follow-up.


4. The tow company driver will pick-up the vehicle, keys and title.


5. You will receive from the Car Program, LLC a donation receipt.
