What are you doing to make people aware of PCOS?Caradwen von Braskat declared PCOSA the Official Charity of Baycon 2007. Baycon is a Science Fiction and Fantasy convention, held annually in Northern California. Caradwen featured PCOSA in the conference program, providing an educational overview of what PCOS is all about. Caradwen suspects that a high number of women that participate in Baycon are affected by PCOS, and felt that she could really have an impact. Not only did Caradwen get the word out about PCOS, she raised over $2400 in donations through a silent auction and casino night! Congratulations Caradwen, and thank you for your efforts! PCOSA online community member Jennifer Robidoux stepped up to the plate when MSNBC reporter Melissa Dahl needed someone to tell her story about her experience with PCOS! It's not always easy to talk about PCOS in such a public way, but by sharing our experiences, we take the shame away and reach other women who need our help. Kudos to Jennifer for being so brave, and reaching out to help other women! Along with PCOSA's Christine DeZarn, Jennifer helped MSNBC to produce one of the best articles on PCOS in publication to date.
