| Randomization |
| To make random in arrangement, especially in order to control the variables in an experiment. |

| Recombinant FSH (r-FSH) |
| Injectable gonadotropin used for ovulation induction and in vitro fertilization. Can be administered subcutaneously. Results in recruitment and growth of many follicles and eggs. |
|
| Recurrent pregnancy loss |
| Two or three consecutive miscarriages. Causes are multiple including structural uterine abnormalities, antiphospholipid syndrome, thyroid disease, balance translocations, and sporadic chromosomal abnormalities of the fetus. |
|
| Repronex |
| A brand name of Human Menopausal Gonadotropin. |
|
| Resistant Ovary |
| An ovary that cannot respond to the follicle-stimulating message sent by FSH. Primitive germ cells will be present in the ovary; however, they will not respond to FSH stimulation. |

| Risk Factor |
| Anything that raises the chance that a person will get a disease. For example, with non-insulin-dependent diabetes, people have a greater risk of getting the disease if they weigh a lot more (20 percent or more) than they should. |

| Ruby Laser |
| A laser hair removal system, which was cleared by the FDA to market in the U.S. in 1997. See Laser Hair Removal. |
